Job Summary
Barrett Petfood is hiring a Full-Time Operator in Brainerd, Minnesota to operate production machinery, ensure quality control, and maintain safety standards in a fun, customer‑focused manufacturing environment.
Location
Brainerd, Minnesota (on‑site)
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM
Salary
$21.00 – $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities
Set packaging line to machine centerlines and confirm setup is for the correct product
Set dog food bags to the correct centerlines
Drive quality through monitoring and validating that the product is within standards, checking paperwork, and ensuring the product is correct
Conduct & record metal, weight, seals, and lot code checks
Verify cleans are accurate by assigning duties to others on the line, filling out quality documents, and ensuring it is completed in a timely manner
Communicate with material handlers on upcoming jobs for smooth transitions
Communicate packaging needs with the Packaging Supervisor as necessary
Notify the Packaging Supervisor of any safety, quality, or production escalation issues
Support troubleshooting of equipment to meet daily throughput requirements
Notify maintenance if the packaging line breaks
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, effective communication, basic mechanical understanding, commitment to safety, customer‑centric mindset, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
