Job Title: HR Analyst
The HR Analyst serves as an Hourly Personnel Coordinator within the Employee Relations function, focusing on accurate hourly employee transactions, manpower planning, and HR data integrity. This role supports a large manufacturing plant workforce, partners closely with the HR team, and helps maintain an inclusive and compliant work environment while balancing employee advocacy with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Coordinate all hourly personnel transactions for a large plant workforce using an internal HR database.
Track and update manpower planning activities, ensuring accurate headcount and staffing data for hourly employees.
Input hourly employee transactions and updates in a timely and accurate manner to maintain current HR records.
Create, maintain, and organize personnel records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and audit‑compliant.
Support the plant HR team with day‑to‑day HR operations and employee relations activities.
Assist with hourly personnel recruiting and hiring processes as needed, including coordination of candidate information and documentation.
Onboard new hire hourly employees, including preparing and organizing personnel jackets and profiles.
Support manpower planning processes related to hiring, layoffs, and unemployment, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
Handle requests and inquiries from legal and retirement divisions, providing accurate and timely HR data and documentation.
Encourage and support an effective, inclusive work environment and culture through professional interactions with employees at all levels.
Balance employee advocacy with stewardship of company goals and values in all HR‑related decisions and actions.
Perform HR reporting and data analysis activities using Microsoft Excel and other tools to support HR operations and decision‑making.
Essential Skills
At least 5 years of advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools, with a strong emphasis on Excel, including VLOOKUP formulas, pivot tables, and other advanced functions.
Proven experience working with very large volumes of data and data entry, supporting a workforce of several thousand employees.
Completed bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Strong human resources experience, including handling hourly employee records and transactions.
Demonstrated ability to perform accurate reporting and data analysis in an HR context.
High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining audit‑compliant HR records.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong communication skills to effectively handle inquiries from internal stakeholders, including legal and retirement divisions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment with daily interactions with union staff, hourly employees, and leadership.
Experience with Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) or similar HRIS platforms.
Background in business analysis or HR reporting is beneficial.
Familiarity with manpower planning processes, including hiring, layoffs, and unemployment‑related documentation.
Experience supporting employee relations activities in a plant or industrial setting.
Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing plant environment and supports a large hourly workforce. The schedule is five days per week, with hours of 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Mondays and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Tuesday through Friday. The position involves extensive work with computers, internal HR databases, and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, in a professional office setting within the plant. The HR Analyst collaborates closely with HR colleagues, interacts regularly with hourly employees and plant leadership, and operates in a culture that values inclusivity, accuracy, and strong employee relationships.
