Gas & Chemical Technician
Sunnyvale, CA | Onsite Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PST — $29.50/hr+ depending on experience | Overtime possible

Sirius Talent is seeking a Gas & Chemical Technician for an onsite opportunity in Sunnyvale, CA. This role supports critical gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems within a wafer fabrication environment and is ideal for a technician with strong hands‑on experience in semiconductor operations, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and emergency response.

This is a highly technical position supporting complex equipment across multiple buildings. The right candidate will bring strong safety awareness, mechanical and technical troubleshooting ability, and working knowledge of gas and chemical applications in wafer fab operations.

Key Responsibilities

Support and lead the technical demands of site gas, chemical, and slurry equipment

Troubleshoot, repair, install, and decommission gas and chemical distribution systems

Perform cylinder and drum changes on gas and chemical systems

Provide technical support and problem resolution across a wide range of equipment types and vendors

Support gas and chemical operations across 11 buildings throughout Santa Clara and Sunnyvale

Help maintain and support more than 2,000 pieces of distribution equipment

Write, edit, and execute operating and maintenance procedures in compliance with site standards

Perform preventative maintenance and support sustaining operations and project work

Participate in basic safety processes, quality management activities, and technical training

Support emergency preparedness efforts and help drive flawless execution

Promote and maintain a zero safety and zero quality incident culture

Required Qualifications

Strong knowledge of gas or chemical applications in wafer fabrication

Experience supporting gas, chemical, or slurry equipment

Ability to perform complex troubleshooting and problem resolution

Experience with preventative maintenance, operating procedures, and maintenance procedures

Knowledge of emergency response protocols in a technical manufacturing environment

Ability to safely perform cylinder and drum changes

Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance

Preferred Experience

Experience with:

EMD Electronics gas systems

Applied Energy Systems

Fuji liquid delivery systems

Air Liquide gas and chemical systems

Semiconductor or wafer fab environment experience strongly preferred

Additional Information

Overtime may be available

Comprehensive OJT and technical training provided

Fast‑paced promotion track with 5 technician levels

Interviews are not available between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM PST
