Sirius Staffing is seeking

Technicians

in the Fremont, CA area. This opportunity offers on‑the‑job training for quickly learning critical technical skills to excel in this role and be considered for converting to permanent as determined by supervisors and business needs.

Pay: $28 to $31 / hr.

Schedule: Must be able to work days and night shifts. (training will be M‑F)

Technicians work on systems and maintain a supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LEDs, and Flat Screen TVs.

Responsibilities

Handling and change‑out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers

Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance

Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs

Support of quality systems

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Valid Driver's license

Must speak English

1+ year of prior experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician or in a mechanical or electronic environment

Must have experience with Chemicals and/or Gas in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics, design, or engineering

Requires employees to be clean‑shaven to comply with safety and PPE requirement

Proficient with MS Office Suite

Military training is welcomed

Strong technical aptitude

Excellent communication skills

Physical Attributes

Walking up to 5 or 6 miles per day

Occasionally may need to climb a tanker truck (18‑wheeler), while using fall protection, to off‑load chemicals into a drum

In some cases, Technicians must put on a supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator while working with chemicals (approx. 10‑15 minutes)

Basic lifting (up to 40 lbs)

Bending of the knees and overhead reaching

PPE made available to workers includes safety glasses, hard hats, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc.

The worker will be provided with a voucher to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wear

A Fit for Duty Evaluation will be required before reporting and annually, including a Pulmonary Function Test for wearing a respirator, an audiogram baseline for wearing hearing protection, and a physical exam

Workers are required to complete hazardous communication training (Right to Know) before work. There are no planned activities or work in which a worker is exposed to any of the products used onsite
