Purchasing Buyer Specialist (2605007)
PruittHealth is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Buyer with 2+ years of experience to join our procurement team. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and overseeing supplies and services to support our healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain management, vendor relations, and cost control to ensure timely and cost‑effective procurement of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and source suppliers for commodities, travel‑related needs, and maintenance supplies, ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable pricing, terms, and contracts.
Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.
Track procurement trends, supplier performance, and cost savings initiatives, providing regular reports to management.
Work closely with internal departments, including maintenance, facilities, and finance, to align purchasing strategies with organizational needs.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum Experience Required
Minimum 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in healthcare, maintenance, or commodities purchasing.
Additional Qualifications
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Data visualization, VLOOKUPs, Index & Match).
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of healthcare supply chains, maintenance supplies, and/or corporate travel procurement is a plus.
