Overview
Title: Procurement Specialist – (Logistics / Materials Coordination). Location: Gibsonton, FL (33534). Industry: Energy / Industrial Manufacturing. Rate: $40/hr. Duration: One (1) Year Contract (Extension & potential conversion possible). Schedule: Full‑time | 40 hrs/week | Onsite.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support materials coordination, logistics execution, and inventory movement at an industrial energy facility in Gibsonton, FL. This role is execution‑focused and site‑based, supporting day‑to‑day material flow between vendors, warehouse, and end users to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and track material deliveries, receipts, and staging for site operations
Act as liaison between vendors, site users, and internal teams to resolve delivery or material issues
Expedite orders as needed to support production and maintenance schedules
Receive, inspect, and issue materials, tools, and equipment
Maintain accurate material, inventory, and delivery records in systems and spreadsheets
Support inventory control activities including cycle counts and reconciliation
Assist with requisitions, order status tracking, and invoice issue resolution
Coordinate logistics for domestic (and limited international) material movement
Ensure materials are stored safely and in compliance with site procedures
Support updates to material plans and purchasing/logistics systems
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all site safety and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
3–6+ years of experience in logistics, materials coordination, warehouse operations, or industrial support roles
Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, power generation, or energy environments preferred
Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems (SAP exposure preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic Office tools
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work onsite in a fast‑paced operational environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
Preferred / Nice to Have
Associate or Bachelor’s degree a plus
Experience expediting materials or resolving delivery/invoice discrepancies
Prior exposure to procurement or supply chain coordination (non‑strategic)
Forklift or warehouse equipment experience
Power generation or energy industry exposure
