Melting Supervisor

Responsibilities
Oversee safety performance and day‑to‑day work activities of approximately 20 hourly employees.
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, cost performance, and production goals.
Coordinate maintenance repairs to minimize downtime.
Maintain on‑shift productivity, quality, safety, housekeeping, and scrap control.
Enforce company/department goals, policies, and procedures.
Complete daily shift reports detailing EAF, LMF, and continuous caster performance.
Develop and implement plans to increase productivity and quality while reducing costs at the EAF, LMF, and caster.
Occasionally direct the Maintenance Supervisor and Raw Material Supervisor.
Train new employees to the work area and complete all progress reports in a timely manner.
Interface effectively with other supervisory personnel, other department members, and ISWA personnel.
Requirements
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school and six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
High school graduate with a minimum of three (3) years of melting and/or casting experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Capability to supervise employees according to union rules and regulations.
Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft software.
Pay Range
$59,400 – $74,300 (SG22)
Discretionary Target Bonus
12%
