The Inventory Specialist supports essential functions of the Medizin Inventory Department, ensuring compliance with Nevada state regulations and Medizin operational standards. This role is responsible for receiving and verifying incoming products, accurately entering data into inventory systems, preparing products for the sales floor, and participating in ongoing audit processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receive and verify incoming product deliveries to ensure all state compliance requirements are satisfied.
Enter laboratory results and all information required under NCCR 1-14 regulations into the inventory management software system.
Accept deliveries in METRC and maintain accuracy with the POS system.
Prepare products for placement on the sales floor and backstock, including labeling bins.
Create displays for new products.
Stock the sales floor with appropriate products and set up displays in accordance with Medizin procedures.
Collaborate with management to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventory audits.
Comply with all inventory control policies and Nevada state regulations.
Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non‑disclosure.
Assist with the implementation of company policies, SOPs, and performance standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Daily compliance with company policies including state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements are:
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but simple written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in basic computer skills, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and industry‑specific software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be 21 years of age or older. NV State Agent Card required. OSHA 10 required (company paid) within 6 months of hiring.
Physical Demands:
Regular walking; handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing; occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs; vision requirements.
Work Environment:
Exposure to extreme cold and heat; moderate noise level.
