General Description
The purpose of this position is to process registrations from employers, maintain and update existing employer accounts such as account closures and third‑party access. Provide customer service to employers needing assistance filing their quarterly reports, assist in collecting past‑due reports and payments from employers, and assist in detecting possible fraud against the state unemployment insurance program.

Essential Functions

Review employer registrations and gather pertinent information to determine UI liability according to WY State Statute and federal TPS standards.

Monitor registration team emails and incoming paperwork and route to the proper person.

Assist third parties with adding/removing clients and establishing new third‑party accounts.

Provide customer service to employers, third parties, and other government agencies via various means of contact.

Provide basic technical support to users of the unemployment website.

Assist the Accounts Receivable section with the processing of quarterly mass mail.

Process employer closure requests by gathering pertinent information to properly close accounts according to WY State Statutes and federal TPS standards.

Assist with other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications
Preference may be given to applicants who have prior experience with the statutes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the Unemployment Tax Division.

Ability to learn the statutes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the Unemployment Tax Division.

Ability to learn the federal Tax Performance System requirements.

Knowledge of business management practices, various accounting systems, and payroll practices.

Skill in computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, internet usage, written and verbal communication, and researching public information.

Ability to balance multiple tasks, work independently, and provide excellent customer service.

Bachelor's Degree is the minimum qualification.

0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Benefits and Eligibility), or 3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Benefits and Eligibility).

Special Requirements

FLSA: Non‑Exempt

The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS) uses E‑Verify to confirm the eligibility of all newly hired employees to work in the United States.

Former State of Wyoming employees rehired within 31 days from their previous employment will be required to reimburse the State of Wyoming for all vacation and sick leave compensation received upon separation.
