Overview
Temporary legal professional role for maternity leave to provide legal assistant/paralegal support for approximately five months at a leading global multi-strategy hedge fund. The role will support a busy in-house legal team across a range of contract and coordination work. The ideal candidate is available to train onsite in New York, strong preference for full time onsite or going into the office 2+ days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Review and support work involving vendor contracts, market data agreements, event contracts, and NDAs.
Serve as a liaison for incoming legal requests, helping triage matters and direct inquiries appropriately.
Coordinate with sourcing and internal business stakeholders.
Support multiple lawyers and legal team members across a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Paralegal with strong contract support experience.
In-house legal experience is preferred, though strong law firm candidates may also be considered.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage requests from many internal stakeholders.
Comfortable working collaboratively and learning team processes quickly.
Role Details
Full-time; 40 hours per week.
Start date: ASAP.
Expected duration: about five months.
Based in New York City; candidate should be able to work in-office for training, with flexibility for remote or hybrid support afterward.
