Warehouse Worker - Clamp Truck Operator - Weekend Day Shift

Penske Logistics is looking for a Forklift Operator to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant and outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.
Position Details
Friday to Sunday, 6:00am-6:00pm
Base rate: $20.00 + $1.00 shift differential

Job Responsibilities
Loads and unloads trailers
Moves materials within the warehouse
Complies with all safety requirements
Electronically scans products using a warehouse management system
Performs quality control and ensures damaged products are identified and removed when received
Communicates with associates from other shifts
Reads work orders or receives oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
Records numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
Reviews production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line
Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)
Transports stored items from warehouse to plant or picks up items from several locations for shipment (where applicable)
Performs other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
No prior warehouse experience required but preferred
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
Ability to work independently and demonstrate customer service, multi‑tasking, organizational, and time‑management skills
Flexible to work overtime preferred
Ability to work in non‑climate‑controlled conditions required
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
Willingly work the required schedule at the specific location
Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
Position is safety sensitive; must maintain a constant state of alertness and safe practices, accepting responsibility for own safety and that of others
