
General Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities
Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as HVAC system, plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and structural repairs as needed.
Collaborate with ABoR store and facilities team as needed.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of building systems and equipment.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections and repairs.
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Collaborate with external contractors and vendors as needed.
Respond to emergencies - serving as the primary contact for all facility related emergencies (Including but not limited to fire alarms, HVAC system alarms, security alarms, etc). Which may require to work during off work hours, weekends and holidays.
Collaborate and coordinate with the Events and Education teams to reset auditoriums and arrange furniture as required.
Special projects as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, trade School and/or military training a plus
Three years of verifiable hands‑on general maintenance experience
Knowledge of building systems, including Basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry/painting and fire safety systems.
Problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot medium‑complex issues.
Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
Ability to appropriately handle normal stress and interaction with others.
