Weekend Maintenance Technician
Direct Hire • Raleigh, NC • Full‑Time • Pay: $40‑43/hr
Schedule:
4am‑2:30pm (Mon–Thu)
6am‑6:30pm (Fri–Sun)
Responsibilities:
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant utilities and facility systems, including Reverse Osmosis (RO) water systems, Water for Injection (WFI), Pure Steam generation, HVAC, compressed air, boilers, chillers, and more.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and critical GMP utility systems.
Diagnose machine failures and implement effective repairs to eliminate root causes.
Conduct troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure continuous support to manufacturing operations.
Monitor utility performance, record critical parameters, and maintain accurate GMP documentation.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing teams to ensure utilities meet operational needs and compliance requirements.
Respond to utility and facility alarms or emergencies as part of on‑call rotations.
Assist with design, installation, and certification for modifications to systems and equipment.
Perform scheduled maintenance and testing of fire protection, alarm, and security systems.
Manage spare parts inventories and order non‑inventory repair parts.
Support EHS initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications:
Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and process equipment in a GMP or regulated environment (pharmaceutical or similar).
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with plant utility systems (RO, WFI, Pure Steam, HVAC, etc.).
Ability to operate in full compliance with hygiene, safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Excellent documentation and record‑keeping skills in accordance with GMP/ALCOA principles.
Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and respond to emergencies as needed.
Safe work practices, effective communication, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
Education or certification in a relevant technical field is preferred.
