Job Description
The Radiology Ambulatory Reception Coordinator provides exceptional customer service to patients and visitors as the first point of contact in the Radiology Department. The shifts available are Monday-Friday between the hours of 6:30 am and 10:00 pm.
This position schedules appointments and verifies insurance for all radiology patients, performs clerical and receptionist functions in the Radiology Department, including preparation and maintenance of patient records, and serves as a resource to medical staff regarding hospital protocols. This role is the link between staff, patients, families, and care providers, and between the unit and other hospital departments.
Work Schedule
Per Diem. Monday-Friday (6:30 am–10:00 pm) variable shifts.
Required Qualifications
One year of clerical, scheduling, and/or customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in a healthcare field.
Experience scheduling radiologic appointments for various modalities including CT, Ultrasound, DEXA, and General Diagnostics.
Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting.
One year of Epic electronic medical record system experience.
