Assessment Supervisor
The City of Saint Paul's Office of Financial Services is hiring an Assessment Supervisor! This position will lead and oversee citywide property assessment and service charge operations while managing a skilled team. This role combines strategic planning, project leadership, and hands‑on oversight of complex assessments, budgeting, and revenue tracking. This position collaborates with city departments, council members, and community stakeholders, helps shape policies, and ensures accurate, transparent processes.
Responsibilities
Perform expert‑level supervisory and administrative work directing and coordinating special assessments and nuisance abatement assessment processing for the City.
Implement strategic and tactical work plans.
Supervise, coordinate, and assign work to staff.
Conduct complex project work related to special assessments, nuisance abatements, garbage collection fees, and service charge issues.
Direct activities involved in property assessment and fee collection.
