Nah Tah Wahsh PSA is seeking a dedicated, student-centered K–12 Health, Physical Education, and Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) Teacher to support students’ academic, physical, and social development. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that promotes lifelong wellness, physical activity, and essential life skills.
Grounded in the values of the Hannahville Indian Community, this position emphasizes culturally responsive teaching and the integration of real-world skills, including nutrition, personal wellness, family life, and practical living skills. The teacher will create meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for healthy, productive, and balanced lives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum
Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in Health, Physical Education, and Family & Consumer Sciences for K–12 students
Develop lessons that promote physical fitness, health literacy, nutrition, personal wellness, and life skills
Integrate culturally relevant and community-based perspectives into instruction, including wellness practices and family/community values
Establish clear instructional objectives and communicate expectations to students
Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and support diverse learning needs
