Grounded in the values and culture of the Hannahville Indian Community, this role includes integrating Indigenous knowledge, local environmental practices, and culturally relevant teaching into daily instruction. The successful candidate will foster a learning environment that honors students’ identities, promotes academic growth, and connects classroom learning to community, land, and culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum
Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in science, agriculture, and English/language arts
Design interdisciplinary learning experiences that connect literacy, science, and agricultural practices
Integrate Indigenous knowledge, land-based learning, and local environmental perspectives into instruction
Develop lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application
