Care Giver/Medication Technician Overview
The Care Giver/Medication Technician will provide hands‑on care, administer medications, and offer physical and emotional support to residents, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and home‑like environment.

What You’ll Do
Provide compassionate care and supervision for assigned residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating) while promoting dignity, independence and safety.
Administer and observe medications and treatments in accordance with the Six Rights of Medication Pass, documenting accurately and reporting concerns promptly.
Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin and participation in activities.
Engage residents in enrichment programs and life‑skills activities to support overall well‑being.
Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms, community areas and medication/treatment spaces.
Respond promptly to resident call bells and community security systems.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors and health‑care staff regarding care needs and changes in condition.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards, infection control protocols and confidentiality policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Certified Nurse’s Aide certification preferred.
High‑school diploma or GED required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and customer‑service skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment.
