Overview
The HVAC Technician performs routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration equipment. This role supports the operation of building systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and client satisfaction. The technician works under general supervision and may collaborate with senior technicians to develop technical skills and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Pay Range: $25-$30 hourly

Responsibilities
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including chillers, boilers, and air handling units
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues within HVAC systems, including components such as transformers, relays, burners, and thermostats
Assist in maintaining chilled water systems and other building mechanical systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Respond to service calls and assist with emergency repairs as needed
Complete service documentation, logs, and reports accurately and in a timely manner
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and organized work environment
Collaborate with team members and learn from senior technicians to build technical expertise
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
One to two years of HVAC or related technical experience preferred
Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and develop in the trade
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Willingness to join Local Union 72 or current membership preferred
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and contribute to a team environment
