Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist / HR Manager to support and manage day-to-day HR operations. This role is ideal for someone who is hands‑on, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a wide range of HR responsibilities in a small to mid‑sized organization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle HR operations including onboarding and offboarding processes
Process and manage payroll accurately and in a timely manner
Administer employee benefits (health, dental, vision, etc.)
Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation
Ensure compliance with federal, state (California), and local labor laws
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and HR-related issues
Support performance management and employee relations as neededAssist with recruiting efforts, including job postings and interview coordination
Communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders in both English and Japanese
Collaborate with management to improve HR processes and workplace practices
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in Human Resources
Japanese-English bilingual (required)
Hands‑on experience with payroll processing (required)
Strong knowledge of HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and compliance
Familiarity with California labor laws preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Experience working in a small or mid‑sized company preferred
Preferred Qualifications
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is a plus, but not required
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary: $60,000–$75,000 (DOE)
