
Planner Scheduler

The Planner Scheduler performs advanced aspects of planning/scheduling, project controls and administrative scheduling functions with minimal supervision. They are responsible for analyzing data to develop critical path network (CPN) schedules on proposals and contracts, coordinating and integrating schedules with external customers, monitoring progress, updating schedules to satisfy proposal or contract release dates, and providing project status reporting, summary and analysis.
Responsibilities
Develop CPN schedules for highly complex projects, including work flow process maps and work breakdown structures.
Collect data and updates from various sources, provide progress updates, data inputs and produce schedule reports.
Lead coordination of schedules with internal and external customers/partners, and provide project status reporting, summary and analysis.
Represent the company and project interests in front of customers in collaboration with Project Managers.
Perform scheduling studies and what‑if scenarios.
Manage resource loading, physical quantity tracking and person‑hour tracking.
Conduct various types of analysis including trend analysis, graphics analysis, earned value analysis, productivity analysis and risk analysis (or any other identified key performance indicators).
Manage schedule changes and communicate impacts to higher management and the customer.
Expedite material, maintain material tracking systems and process engineering releases.
Import and export data using various software packages and perform data integration.
Prepare formal presentations and generate reports for management and the customer.
Act as lead scheduler for EPC projects as identified, directing schedule integration and updates with project partners.
Lead training of others as required, monitor the work of others and perform all additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Associate or technical degree preferred.
Minimum 7 years of experience as a planner/scheduler.
Background in the power, process or chemical industry.
Proficient in various software packages.
Knowledge of the power, process or chemical industry in an EPC environment.
Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft portfolio of applications including Project, Excel, Access and Word.
ERP system experience.
Ability to work with internal and external customers to understand their requirements.
Adaptability and ability to work within a dynamic work environment.
