Job Overview

Job Responsibilities
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Training and Qualifications
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Must be 16 years of age or older.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Physical Requirements
Standing – most tasks are performed from a standing position.
Walking – for short distances for short durations.
Lifting – bulk product deliveries up to 50 pounds; cases of ingredients and supplies up to 50 pounds with dimensions up to 3' x 1.5'.
Carrying – large cans weighing 3 lb 7 oz; pizza sauce 30 lb; trays of dough ~12 lbs each; three at a time.
Pushing – move trays on dollies (24–30" stack, 7.5 lbs force).
Pulling – trays may also be pulled.
Climbing – navigate stairs or climb a ladder infrequently.
Stooping/Bending – forward bending at the waist necessary at pizza assembly; repeated 30‑45 seconds continuously; unable to flex knees while standing at this station.
Crouching/Squatting – performed occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching – continuously up, down and forward; above 72" to turn on/off oven controls, change sign prices, lift/lower objects to and from shelves; reaching down to scoop cornmeal, wash dishes; forward to obtain toppings, clean surfaces, answer phones.
Hand tasks – eye‑hand coordination essential; frequent use of one or both hands; shaping dough requires forceful forearm and wrist use; manipulating pizza peel, rolling cutter; pinching in cardboard box assembly; grasp cans, phone, cutter, peel, pizza boxes.
Work Conditions
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas.
Sudden temperature changes in work area and while outside.
Fumes from food odors.
Exposure to cornmeal dust.
Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Additional Physical and Sensory Demands
Talking and hearing on telephone. Near and mid‑range vision for most tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
