Job Description
Northeast Elementary is seeking a .5 FTE Preschool teacher for the 2026‑2027 School Year. A Preschool Teacher at Northeast Elementary is responsible for following the Iowa Quality Preschool Program Standards to create a learning environment that supports each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Northeast is known for its high-quality preschool program and is excited to welcome you to our learning community.

An ideal candidate must:
Have a genuine love for early learning and child development.
Have strong classroom management skills.
Collaborate with families, colleagues, and other service providers to enhance student learning.
Analyze student achievement data to make instructional decisions through the PLC process.
Adhere to the Iowa Quality Preschool Program Standards & Criteria & GOLD teaching strategies.
Be able to complete IEP case management duties and provide specially designed instruction.
Strive for continued professional improvement.
