
Line Cook

Schedule: Mon thru Fri // 5am or 1pm start time
Sifted is building out a brand new, dynamic corporate catering space in Seattle, and needs a highly motivated Line Cook. The Line cook will be responsible for checking in with the Lead Line cook on the Wok Station, Rotating Plate, Hot Hands or Wrap Culture station, and should be comfortable working in one or multiple stations daily while working with multiple leads throughout the service.
Responsibilities
Work on the line in one of the concept kitchens, preparing meals for 500-100 guests daily.
Hold full ownership of labeling and organization of pans, delis, and discarding out‑of‑date product from common storage areas.
Execute strict quality control and assurance, act as a sanitation and safety champion in the BLV kitchen.
Own daily pack‑out temperatures, ensuring items are cooked to the required temperatures, re‑therm hot items when necessary, and provide a daily sheet to the Managing Chef.
Assist with daily deep‑clean items and enforce sanitary regulations and safety standards.
Assist the Executive Chef in facilitating discussions and answering questions about production, pack‑out, and clean‑up.
Assist the Executive Chef with the development and augmentation of existing systems.
Qualifications
1-2 years of relative experience in a full‑service, moderate to high‑volume restaurant, club, or catering establishment.
Culinary degree or similar preferable.
Lead by example in all aspects of the business—production, attitude, cleaning, punctuality.
Lead by example in regards to safety and sanitation standards set by the local Health Department.
Ability to work efficiently to maximize team output.
Ability to maintain a calm and collected demeanor under pressure.
Ability to perform repetitive motions daily while prepping vegetables, cooking proteins, and deep‑cleaning.
Basic English communication skills are required.
