Position Summary

This role supports the operation of multiple departments by performing a variety of low voltage system installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting across the facility.
What you’ll do

The position is responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple departments. An individual will be expected to perform additional job‑related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned.
Essential Functions

Set up and configure various low voltage systems (e.g., security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, network cabling).
Run, terminate, and label cables according to project requirements and industry standards.
Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability.
Identify and resolve issues in low voltage systems promptly to minimize downtime.
Fix faults or damages in systems, ensuring they are restored to optimal working condition.
Provide technical support to and train end users on operating and maintaining low voltage systems.
Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
Ensure all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Generate reports on system performance, issues resolved, and maintenance activities.
Evaluate existing systems to determine if upgrades or enhancements are needed.
Perform system upgrades to improve performance or comply with new standards.
Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Demonstrate up‑to‑date expertise and provide expert advice and guidance to others.
Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
Model compliance with company policies and support company mission, values, and ethics and integrity.
Physical Activities

Reads information, often in small print; visually verifies information; communicates effectively in person or by telecommunications equipment; creates documents, reports, etc., using a writing instrument or electronic device; enters and locates information on electronic device.
Travel

Traveling is necessary to perform essential functions, including domestic travel to and from multiple facilities or work‑sites requiring consecutive overnight stays.

Salary

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may range from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
Minimum Qualifications

Must hold state and jurisdiction required certification and license for the state/jurisdiction of work.
Reciprocal license may apply.
Licensing requirements vary by state.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Prior work experience in a role requiring knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.
Preferred Qualifications

BICSI Installer Certification
CompTIA certifications for networking
Manufacturer‑specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Axis, or Bosch systems)
NICET 1 & 2 Fire Alarm certification
OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification/training
Technical training or certification in low voltage systems
