Responsibilities
Under the direction and supervision of the Principal or designee, the candidate will plan instruction, teach, differentiate instruction, motivate, inspire, and assess students in reading/language arts.
Develops and presents lessons that demonstrate planning and preparation while using a variety of instructional techniques and materials, which are appropriate to meet the needs of all students.
Organizes classroom systems/procedures and manages student behavior to ensure all students are fully engaged and learning.
Collaborates with special education staff to attain goals designated in students' IEPs and 504 plans.
Actively participates in professional development opportunities and collaborates with district personnel and peers to improve the quality of student outcomes and planning curriculum.
Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data.
Establishes a culture of high expectations.
Qualifications
Requires Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan; demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
