Job Summary
Team members in the Steward department are in charge of cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, silverware, and kitchen equipment to ensure all outlets continue their normal operations within a safe and sanitized environment. This is a fast-paced environment working with water at different temperatures and chemicals. For this reason, proper safety is required throughout the working shift.
How You Will Create the Extraordinary
Replenishes all nonfood items as needed.
Clean and stock supplies, such as plates, silverware, pots, pans, and other utensils.
Cleans food serving areas, including counters, utensils, and food trays.
Must be able to maintain the proper level of sanitation in accordance with health dept. and Stewarding standards in all kitchen outlets.
Cleans and sanitizes all china and flatware.
Must be able to clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment in a safe manner.
Stocks supplies (plates, silverware, pots, pans, and other utensils).
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Has constant communication and coordination with chefs, bussers, and servers.
Follows instructions from the lead on duty.
What You Will Need
Must be able to work inside and maneuver throughout the kitchen areas.
Must be able to tolerate hot temperatures more than 115 degrees near dish machine, when assigned for entire shift.
Must be able to use chemicals that adhere to the cleaning and sanitizing kitchen procedures.
Must be able to stand and walk for 8 hours.
Must be able to operate dish machine.
Must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to push carts, pull, reach, bend, stoop, and stack racks of dishes and silverware.
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
Preference
is given to qualified Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.
