Position Purpose
Acting on own initiative, the Global Logistics Analyst provides critical analytical, operational, and reporting support to the Global Logistics team while working cross functionally with Supply Chain, Winery Operations, CRG, Sales, and Finance internal stakeholders as well as external winery partners including but not limited to Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, and trucking/drayage/rail carriers.

This role will support Supply Chain initiatives in meeting customer demand, driving process improvement, and optimizing our global freight network for bulk wine and cased goods imports. The Global Logistics Analyst will establish strong internal and external partnerships while delivering logistics trend analysis, performance reporting, and actionable insights to support supply and demand planning.

Functional Responsibility
Essential Duties

Manages assigned logistics activities and workflows with a high degree of ownership and accountability

Analyzes, monitors, and reports logistics performance trends across the global network to support Supply Chain initiatives and cross‑functional stakeholders

Maintains and manages detailed working files for international shipments using internal systems and external data sources

Partners with the Global Logistics Manager to prepare, analyze, and present reports and insights for internal stakeholders

Manages carrier rate sheets, including weekly fuel surcharge updates and monthly BAF (Bunker Adjustment Factor) tracking

Provides logistics support and issue resolution for operational teams to ensure continuity of service

Communicates regularly with third‑party logistics providers to ensure service quality, performance, and compliance

Reviews, validates, and reconciles freight invoices for accuracy and approval

Supports the Global Logistics Director on freight analysis, optimization, and special projects

Supports budget awareness by tracking freight spend, variances, and cost drivers within assigned scope

Analyzes and communicates monthly KPIs and performance metrics to identify efficiencies, cost‑reduction opportunities, and process improvements; collaborate with operational leadership to develop and implement solutions

Researches best practices, monitors industry trends, and stays current on regulatory requirements to support compliance and continuous improvement

Aligns daily work, priorities, and analytical outputs with departmental goals and broader supply chain objectives

Actively supports change initiatives and process improvements by identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities

Acts as a trusted individual contributor, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic

Executes and supports strategies to improve supply chain and logistics performance in alignment with company objectives

Escalates issues, risks, or concerns to management promptly and objectively

Provides timely insights, data, and recommendations to support informed decision‑making by management and cross‑functional partners

Contributes to a collaborative and respectful work environment by communicating clearly and working effectively with internal and external partners

Ensures individual work products and activities comply with company policies, procedures, and standards

Non-Essential Duties
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain preferred

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related function.

Prior experience with international transportation, specifically ocean freight, preferred

Prior experience in adult beverage or CPG industries preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must have good communication and interpersonal skills

Must demonstrate high attention to detail and have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Requires cross‑functional relationship building

Demonstrated ability to analyze multi‑dimensional data and complex information

Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, ERP (SAP preferred), and Power BI/Power Pivot

Working Conditions

General office environment with occasional travel

Required to drive automotive equipment

Occasionally may be required to lift and carry cases of wine

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is a Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $64,998.24 to $101,552.88. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
