Non-CDL Driver role
Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour
Quarterly Performance Bonus: Up to $350
Shift Schedule: 5 shifts per week Monday - Friday with rotating Sundays 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Location: 5370 S. Cicero Ave. Chicago, IL 60638
About the Role:
The Delivery Driver role is a crucial part of achieving our mission of making healthy food more accessible for everyone. You’ll deliver food to our wholesale retail partners and Smart Fridges. Your job is to own your route by making sure that deliveries are sent to the correct address, during the correct time window, and ensuring our customers are getting the best possible delivery experience. You will be the face of Farmer’s Fridge when making deliveries so it is crucial that you have a positive and professional attitude.
Responsibilities:
Drive a company-owned refrigerated van safely and efficiently, delivering food to customers, fridges, and retail partners.
Use an iPad to communicate completed deliveries.
Ensure on-time deliveries and follow delivery processes consistently.
Represent the company positively; be friendly and knowledgeable when interacting with customers.
Qualifications:
Professional driving experience, especially with food shipments using a refrigerated box truck (Preferred).
Ability to use technology: computers, Microsoft Office, and iPads.
Some knowledge of mechanics for minor repairs to vans or Smart Fridges.
Ability to read and understand delivery instructions.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Non-CDL driver license.
Personal Characteristics:
Friendly and approachable, building trust with team and customers.
Organized, with a plan for route execution.
Team-player, able to collaborate even while working solo.
Improvement-oriented, always seeking ways to do things better and faster.
