Position
Middle School Science Teacher – Full Time.
Overview
Flagstaff Academy is seeking a full‑time Middle School Science Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. The candidate will teach students in grades six through eight and work closely with the Middle School Team to ensure a meaningful scope and sequence for the middle school Core Knowledge curriculum.
Responsibilities
Teach and assess students in grades six through eight.
Develop and deliver engaging, student‑centered lessons that demonstrate differentiated instruction.
Collaborate with middle school faculty to align curriculum and instructional strategies.
Build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
Qualifications
Subject expertise in physical science, life science, and earth and space science.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professional relationships with families.
Proven ability to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of all students.
Experience practicing student‑centered, inquiry‑based science instruction.
Job Skills and Qualifications
Current Colorado teaching license.
Ability to interpret and communicate student data.
Strong systems orientation and commitment to follow‑through.
Experience working with middle school students.
Three years teaching experience preferred.
