Overview
Flagstaff Academy is seeking a full‑time Middle School Language Arts Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. The candidate will teach students in grades six through eight and work closely with the Middle School Team to ensure a coherent scope and sequence for the core knowledge curriculum.

Subject expertise in reading and writing
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively
Willingness to work closely with families
Ability to form positive relationships with adolescents
Effective instructional delivery techniques
Proven ability to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of all students
Job Skills and Qualifications
Current Colorado teaching license
Ability to interpret and communicate student data
Strong systems orientation and commitment to follow‑through
Experience working with middle‑school students
Three years of teaching experience preferred
About Flagstaff Academy
Located in Longmont, Flagstaff Academy is a tuition‑free public charter school serving grades kindergarten through eighth. The school also offers a tuition‑based full‑ and part‑time preschool program for three‑ and four‑year‑olds.
Since its founding in 2005, Flagstaff Academy has grown into Longmont’s premier science and technology school. It serves approximately 800 students and is part of the St. Vrain Valley School District.
