
Sourcing Manager – MedTech Agile Procurement

Position Overview
Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Sourcing Manager – MedTech Agile Procurement. The preferred location for this role is New Brunswick, NJ or Tampa, FL.
Sourcing Manager‑MedTech Agile Procurement will be responsible for sourcing execution across Johnson & Johnson’s MedTech R&D & Commercial Organization, in support of approximately $1.2B in spend. This role will be a member of the MedTech Procurement Agile Team, in which they will be supporting the highest priority customer needs and lead projects working in small, self-organizing, cross functional teams that work in short cycles, delivering value iteratively, and engaging frequently with the business.
This individual will identify, develop and direct the implementation of Procurement goals and objectives. Plan and direct the organization’s activities and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, and service and compliance adherence. The individual will partner with the Business Engagement Leads, Category Leads and MedTech Business to operate in a culture of customer‑centricity, empowerment, speed, responsiveness, and efficiency, and deliver incremental value realization and improved customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing execution across R&D and Commercial Categories that will effectively meet the long‑range requirements of the business partners and deliver the maximum value for J&J.
Lead Agile Project Teams and collaborate with BEL/FEL and Category Leads to assure alignment of JNJ’s objectives are met, including quality, reliability, innovation and cost.
Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments.
Build and maintain relationships throughout JNJ that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to the development of optimal approaches and solutions.
Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement of end‑to‑end value and bring innovation to the business.
Identify, develop and direct the implementation of procurement goals and category strategies, based on deep subject‑matter expertise and an informal understanding of industry/market dynamics.
Raise issues that may impact the Global Procurement organization.
Qualifications
Education:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent University degree is required.
Experience and Skills:
A minimum 5 years of Procurement Experience
Broad‑based understanding of business operations and practices and core Procurement areas of focus (Spend Management: Category Management and Supplier Management).
Leadership, communication, influencing, collaboration and talent development skills
Able to prioritize requests, and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives when necessary
Ability to show judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues
Customer Orientation (building and maintaining strong relationships with J&J senior Management)
Project management skills
Data Analytics
Strong verbal and written communication skill
Preferred:
Strong level of proficiency with core Procurement skills (e.g., supplier management and performance, supply market analysis, Category Management, Procurement Excellence, etc.)
Strong level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community
Ability to influence and understand differing needs of partners (e.g., businesses, Procurement LT, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain)
MedTech, R&D, Commercial and/or Agile Sourcing experience
Other:
Requires up to 10% domestic travel.

Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $102,000 - $177,100.
Additional Description for Pay Transparency: The Company maintains highly competitive, performance‑based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company‑sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
