Teacher Clerk

The Teacher Clerk provides clerical, organizational, and operational support to building staff in order to enhance classroom efficiency and promote a safe, orderly, and effective educational environment. Working under the direction of the building administrator(s), this position supports daily classroom, school and office operations through a variety of clerical and student-support tasks.
The Teacher Clerk assists with the preparation and organization of instructional materials, maintains accurate records, and supports communication with staff, students, and families. This position may also provide limited supervision of students and assist with routine, teacher-directed activities to support student learning and engagement.
The Teacher Clerk is responsible for maintaining confidentiality, supporting building operations, and following district policies and procedures.
Essential Functions

Perform clerical and organizational duties to support classroom and school operations, including copying, filing, data entry, laminating, answering phones, greeting visitors, assisting office staff and preparing instructional and communication materials
Assist with the preparation and distribution of classroom materials, newsletters, reports, and school communications
Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and related documentation, as assigned
Provide customer service by responding to routine inquiries from students, staff, and families and directing requests as appropriate
Assist with scheduling activities such as field trips, meetings, and student appointments
Support the ordering, inventory, and organization of classroom and school supplies
Assist with preparation of displays, bulletin boards, and school-wide communications
Provide supervision of students in non-instructional settings (e.g., arrival/dismissal, cafeteria, recess) as assigned
Assist with school events, activities, and special projects
Assist with library/media center operations, including organizing materials, supporting student access to resources, and maintaining an orderly and welcoming environment
Marginal Functions

Provide back-up support to the front office or health office as needed
Assist with additional duties and special projects as assigned by building administration
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience in a school or office setting preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Basic computer skills including Google Workspace (docs, sheets, slides), Gmail, Excel, Word
Copier, laminator, multi line phone system and other basic office equipment
Experience with Infinite Campus a plus
Terms of Employment

7 hours per day / 35 hours per week
9.5-month work calendar
