
Business Services Specialist

Job Summary
This position will perform a wide variety of administrative and budget support activities on behalf of a university unit.
Responsibilities
Initiate various business transactions in support of assigned unit(s), such as budget amendments, expenditure transfers, purchase orders, contract renewals, payment requests, travel and expense, inventory reports, deposit transmittals, purchasing and PCard transactions.
Serve as front line service response to inquiries regarding business processes and data requests.
Organize information, prepare written correspondence, and perform basic accounting functions.
Resolve issues regarding invoices, payments, shipments, etc.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience
One (1) or more years of related work experience.
Proposed Salary
$20.71 - $22.84 per hour.

Consistently exhibit engaging customer service.
Ability to support various constituencies served by the University.
Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position.
Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University’s mission for student success.
Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills.
Other Information
Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work generally performed in an office environment.
Workweek may occasionally extend beyond 40 hours.
Travel may be required.
