Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs
Analyze blueprints, plans, and project documentation to develop accurate time and cost estimates
Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies
Track and evaluate project costs throughout the bidding and execution phases
Partner with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on scope changes and cost adjustments
Present estimates to support management in budgeting and project planning
Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
Utilize estimating software to assess financial feasibility of projects
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role within the construction industry
Strong mathematical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
Ability to interpret technical documents such as blueprints and specifications
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams
Familiarity with construction estimating software and tools
Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Physical Demands
Primarily office based work with extended periods at a computer
Occasional site visits requiring walking, standing, or navigating uneven surfaces
Light lifting of plans, documents, or equipment may be required
