The Entry Level Associate Buyer serves as a key liaison between manufacturing operations and supplier partners, ensuring material availability to support business needs. Responsibilities include analyzing ERP requirements, issuing purchase orders, and monitoring delivery performance.
Entry level Associate Buyer – Hourly, Onsite, Pinellas Park, FL (8:00 – 5:00 pm).
Responsibilities
Issue purchase orders to approved suppliers to procure materials at the lowest total cost while meeting quality, reliability, and delivery requirements.
Analyze supplier quotations, select vendors, enter purchase orders, and coordinate delivery schedules.
Monitor open purchase orders and proactively expedite deliveries as needed.
Resolve supplier quality, delivery, and performance issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with internal customers and supplier partners.
Analyze data and prepare reports; provide recommendations related to inventory levels, safety stock, and forecast consumption.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
1–2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or a related field.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with ERP systems.
Experience with purchase orders and inventory management.
Knowledge of machines and parts used in metal fabrication.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

This role is based in a manufacturing environment. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, confined spaces, and high noise levels. Occasional travel may be required.
