Full Time Dental Receptionist
QuadMed is looking for a Full Time Dental Receptionist to join our team in Lomira, WI. This position will work 4 10-hour shifts: Monday-Thursday 6:40am-5:10pm.
General Purpose Of Job
The Dental Receptionist is part of the team dedicated to providing comprehensive, accessible care and innovative practices focusing on wellness and prevention. The Dental Receptionist assists with daily activities of a dental office including greeting patients, telephone coverage, appointment scheduling, patient registration, and patient referrals. This position answers telephone inquiries, directs callers to appropriate personnel, or initiates a triage email for response by dental personnel. Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler. Reviews patient's treatment plans with them and collects copayments.
The Dental Receptionist must be cognizant of the expectations and concerns of QuadMed's dental patients and be able to respond in an empathetic and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
Front desk reception
Greets patients, answers phone, takes concise telephone messages and schedules appointments
Provides patient with all necessary registration forms and gives instructions on completion of forms.
Verifies dental and medical insurance benefits
Processes, codes, and completes insurance claims forms
Uses communication skills with proper dental and medical terminology
Performs computer skills in patient billing, transcription, scheduling, insurance claims, accounts receivables, and data entry
Maintains supplies and equipment
Maintains confidentiality of the patient PHI and adheres to all HIPAA regulations
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Receptionist and/or healthcare industry experience preferred
Minimum of 1-year experience preferred for qualified candidates
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current CPR (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 60 days of hire
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent customer service skills
Team player, detail oriented, accurate, and efficient
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work in a fast paced-environment and work well under pressure
Patient, possess compassion and uphold HIPAA standards
Dental Terminology preferred
Dentrix software knowledge is a plus
Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations and a demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusion.
