Job Title
Under basic supervision, provides support and works closely with manager, school and District staff to ensure the efficient operation of the department. Serves as liaison to staff, students and parents.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Assists coordinator in compliance with Arizona Bus Driver Minimum Standards.
Coordinates department activities to include meetings, workshops, trainings, ceremonies and luncheons.
Maintains calendar for academic and athletic trips, including use of the white fleet.
Ensures maintenance of driver certifications.
Assists in completion of federal, state and local reports, as required.
Prepares personnel action requests, requisitions and maintains department level accounts.
Distributes payroll warrants.
Maintains employee absence and timekeeping data, related records and reports.
Generates correspondence, maintains files, inputs work orders into system.
Maintains inventories of supplies and materials.
Manages use of telephone and other communication systems. Serves as Key Operator for office equipment; ensures proper use, reports maintenance needs.
Serves as liaison for school and community relations.
Trains and supervises office staff, as required.
Completes other duties as assigned or required.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree; AND two (2) years of experience in an education agency; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required Knowledge of
Standard clerical and office procedures and operations.
Arizona Bus Driver Minimum Standards.
Telephone etiquette.
Practices methods involved in providing quality customer service.
District, School Board and Department policies and procedures.
Required Skills in
Bi-lingual/bi-literate (English/Spanish) preferred.
Maintaining filing systems.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with coworkers and other individuals in contact during the course of work; communicating clearly and concisely; bi-lingual preferred.
Operating a personal computer utilizing standard software such as Microsoft Office and some specialized software; functioning standard office equipment.
