Attendance Clerk
Under basic supervision, oversees the maintenance and recording of student attendance and absences. Notifies parents of any unexcused absences.

Verifies student attendance. Prints attendance reports, records student absences in the student management database, and compares to parent excused calls. Notifies parents of student absences if not excused by mid-day.
Prepares and maintains student registers. Maintains attendance files.
Prepares and distributes other student reports, as required.
Issues admit notes for students.
Provides clerical support for school office.
Completes other duties as assigned or required.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years of clerical experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Principles and procedures of recordkeeping, reporting, and retention.
District and Department policies and procedures.
Attendance requirements and regulations.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with coworkers and other individuals in contact during the course of work; communicating clearly and concisely.
Operating a personal computer utilizing standard software such as Microsoft Office and some specialized software; functioning standard office equipment.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Practicing methods involved in providing quality customer service.
Work is performed in a standard office environment.
