This Product Owner will support the development of a
healthcare-focused analytics platform for hospital capital equipment purchasing
This is a traditional Product Owner role within an Agile team, responsible for backlog ownership, sprint execution, and close partnership with engineering and stakeholders. The
primary priority
is strong
domain expertise in healthcare capital spend, capital planning, or clinical equipment purchasing .
Candidates earlier in their product career are encouraged to apply if they bring deep, relevant industry experience and can grow into the Product Owner skillset.
Responsibilities
Serve as Product Owner for the Capital Spend Insights platform, managing backlog and Scrum ceremonies
Translate stakeholder needs into clear user stories and prioritized requirements
Partner with CFOs, capital committees, supply chain, and clinical stakeholders
Support features that benchmark quotes vs. PO data, analyze pricing and discounts, and identify negotiation opportunities
Contribute product ideas grounded in real-world capital procurement workflows
Must-Have Experience
6+ years overall experience (Product Owner, BA, or similar)
3+ years in healthcare capital spend or equipment purchasing
Hands-on experience with capital procurement, planning, or spend management in healthcare
Strong understanding of capital workflows: requests, approvals, vendor quotes, pricing, and negotiations
Experience translating business workflows into product requirements or user stories
Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery environmentsAnalytical, detail-oriented, and execution-focused
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Comfortable engaging senior business stakeholders and technical teams
