Our client is leading Indiana’s 5-year Rural Health Transformation Program, including the Make Rural Indiana Healthy Again Regional Grants, a historic $600M investment to strengthen healthcare access, prevention, and system resilience across 64 fully rural and nine partially rural counties. This initiative brings together state leadership, healthcare providers, and community organizations to design and implement solutions that reflect local needs while advancing a shared, statewide vision for better health outcomes.

This role serves as the central coordination hub for EMS‑related rural health initiatives, ensuring alignment across agencies, stakeholders, and program priorities.

About the Role
The Rural Health Transformation Project Coordinator for the IDHS EMS Division serves as the primary internal point of contact for coordinating rural health transformation efforts across EMS and partner agencies. This role is critical to ensuring that initiatives remain organized, aligned, and moving forward in a complex, multi‑agency environment.

You will work closely with division leadership, state agency partners, and program teams to facilitate communication, manage documentation, and track progress across initiatives. The role blends coordination, communication, and operational support, helping leadership maintain visibility into timelines, deliverables, and emerging challenges.

What You’ll Do
Program Coordination & Interagency Alignment
Serve as the connective tissue across EMS and statewide partners.

Act as the primary liaison between IDHS EMS and partner state agencies

Support coordination of rural health transformation initiatives across divisions

Ensure alignment of activities, priorities, and communication across stakeholders

Identify and elevate coordination challenges to leadership

Meeting & Stakeholder Coordination
Keep teams aligned, informed, and moving forward.

Coordinate interagency meetings, including agendas and logistics

Facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure clarity and shared understanding

Track follow‑up actions and ensure timely completion of next steps

Support workgroups, committees, and cross‑functional teams

Project Tracking & Documentation
Maintain clear visibility into progress, deliverables, and timelines.

Maintain project documentation, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables

Track initiative progress and provide regular updates to leadership

Ensure documentation is organized, accurate, and accessible

Support development of tracking tools and coordination workflows
Reporting & Executive Support
Translate program activity into clear, actionable insights for leadership.

Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials

Support leadership with status updates and program summaries

Contribute to materials for internal and external stakeholders

What You Bring

Experience in project coordination, EMS, healthcare coordination, public health, or government program support – Required, 4 years

Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills – Required

Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across agencies – Required

Familiarity with Indiana’s rural healthcare and EMS systems – Highly Desired

Work Environment & Travel

100% onsite role in downtown Indianapolis

Standard schedule of 37.5 hours per week

Regular coordination with state agencies and internal stakeholders
