The University of Iowa Department of Athletics seeks applications for an
Assistant Field Hockey Coach . This is a full-time position that includes full university benefits.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Coach is responsible for providing administrative, instructional and coaching assistance to the Head Coach with the purpose of building a successful, competitive intercollegiate sports program that also retains and graduates student-athletes.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
One to three years of field hockey coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level or equivalent international / professional club level
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
Demonstrated success in recruiting elite level prospective student-athletes
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as demonstrated through public speaking, clinician experience, and/or use of effective and creative training/coaching techniques
Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships
A valid U.S. driving license and the ability to meet and maintain University of Iowa Driving Policy standards
Working knowledge of and ability to:
Utilize basic office support software (word processing, email, presentation software and spreadsheets)
Operate effectively within a highly regulated team environment
Desired Qualifications
National Squad or elite level playing experience
Experience with Sportscode, Hudl and/or Spiideo software
Experience in the development and management of social media
