Position Summary
The Waldorf Astoria New York is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations of LexYard, reporting to the Restaurant General Manager and supervising 70 Front of House team members.
Classification & Compensation
Classification: Full‑Time
Shift: Various – must be available weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Pay Rate: The annual salary range for this role is $66,300 - $80,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
Responsibilities
Assist in the management of operations to include guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, marketing initiatives, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement, and meeting participation and facilitation.
Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance, including supervision, counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward.
Monitor and assess product quality and service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.
Initiate and implement marketing and up‑selling techniques to promote restaurant food and beverage and services and to maximize overall revenue.
Assist in recruiting, interviewing and training team members.
Act in the absence of the manager, as needed.
