Position Overview
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Pearl River, LA. The role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.
Pay & Benefits
$1,307 or more per week.
Solo Miles Pay: $0.57 to $1.30 per mile based on trip length (1,200–1,700 miles per week).
Solo Stops Pay: $24.00 per stop with 2–4 stops per day.
Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night with one night out per week possible.
Safety Bonus: $300 four times a year, every quarter.
Paid Training.
Schedule: 6‑day work week with one full day off during the week; drivers work weekends & holidays.
Dispatch Start Time: 9:00 PM – 3:00 AM.
Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days.
80 hours PTO your first year, starting Day 1.
Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided.
401(k) rollover available now with company match at 1 year.
12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility criteria).

Route & Equipment
Deliver SOLO: 500 mile radius of Pearl River, LA.
Route: Regional – Home every day except one possible layover per week.
Tractor Type: Day Cab.
Trailer Type: 53' Reefer.
Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack.
Freight: Touch – Grocery Items; driver assists with unloading, strapping, and securing load.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards.
Maintain accurate records and logs.
Loading/unloading freight or assist in loading/unloading as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum 21 years of age.
Pass a Ryder drug test.
Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, and drug/alcohol verification from prior employers for the last 3 years.
Pass a DOT physical.
Pass a Ryder road test.
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements.
Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within past 3 years, or 2 years within last 5 years, or 5 years within last 10 years.
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
