With good pay, extensive benefits and a family atmosphere, we are seeking a marina supervisor to assist the manager in overseeing the marina staff and ensuring the smooth running of the marina for our guests.

Job Type: Full Time

Pay $ 16.00 Per hour

Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age Reports to: Director of Recreation

As the Marina Supervisor, you will assist the manager in the daily running of the marina including overseeing staff, rentals, purchase of merchandise and the accurate handling of payments.

Responsibilities include:

Responsible for the information in each marina job descriptions when working in that facility.

Interview, hire and train marina staff.

Assist staff and guests when problems arise.

Ensure the staff has all the tools and supplies to complete their job successfully.

Possess strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with the guest and staff while maintaining a safe and professional environment.

Oversee staff in day to day operations.

Responsible for all inventories and purchase orders within the department.

Maintain a safe work environment by promoting safe work practices and document any unsafe areas or practices with written documentation and work orders when needed.

Qualifications
Personal Skills

Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.

Management experience and an understanding of marina activities is required

Possess strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with the guests, other staff members and on the phone.

Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures.

Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.

Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.

Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.

Conducts him\herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times

Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally.

Actively listens to others.

Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis.

Some knowledge of the lake area, and/ or operating watercraft is required.

Physical Requirements

Must be a strong swimmer

Minimum pulling and lifting of 20 pounds.

Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.

Hearing, writing. speaking

Standing for long periods of time.
