We are seeking a results‑driven Logistics Supervisor to lead delivery and distribution operations in a fast‑paced warehouse environment in Richmond, VA. This role is responsible for the execution and performance of logistics operations at a specific location, including staffing, customer service, operational performance, and continuous improvement. Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience with Lean principles, team leadership, and quality control/assurance
Strong ERP or manufacturing software experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
Ability to analyze operational data and performance metrics
Demonstrated ability to analyze mechanical or electrical issues, interpret schematics, and troubleshoot operational problems
Capable of prioritizing multiple issues and making sound decisions based on operational impact
Basic math proficiency, including rates, ratios, percentages, and interpretation of bar graphs
Responsibilities
The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for performing the following essential duties to a high standard:
Supervise, coach, and lead logistics team members, including shipping, receiving, and warehouse staff
Assign work, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accurate and on‑time deliveries
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and proper system transactions
Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, procurement, and customer service teams to align material availability with schedules and customer demand
Optimize warehouse layout, material flow, and storage methods to improve efficiency and reduce handling time
Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, inventory variances, and logistical issues
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including on‑time delivery, inventory accuracy, and freight costs; implement corrective actions and improvements
Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and third‑party logistics providers to ensure cost‑effective and reliable transportation
Support implementation and continuous improvement of logistics processes and systems
