Medical Science Liaison (MSL/Sr. MSL) – US Medical Affairs, Solid Tumor Head & Neck Cancers
Reports to the Regional Director MSLs, US Medical Affairs Solid Tumor Head & Neck Cancer. This field‑based role focuses on building and maintaining professional relationships with medical thought leaders to support Genmab’s approved products and products in development. The MSL provides scientific and clinical information, supports new product launches, executes field medical activities, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure a differentiated customer experience and optimal patient outcomes.
Domestic travel is approximately 50%. The territory includes the Northeast region: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Eastern New York.
Responsibilities
Identify key thought leaders and maintain relationships with healthcare providers (HCPs) in academic and community centers within the assigned territory.
Develop and execute territory plans aligned with regional and national Medical Affairs strategies.
Provide insights on emerging scientific/clinical data to enhance the value and appropriate use of Genmab products, following compliant collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Present clinical and scientific information to HCPs in response to unsolicited requests, ensuring fairness and balance.
Deliver medical and scientific education related to disease state and Genmab products.
Support product launches through HCP education for safe use of medicines.
Act as the primary contact for all aspects of investigator‑sponsored trials (ISTs), from submission to study activation/completion.
Collaborate proactively with cross‑functional teams to build relationships and engage HCPs in Genmab‑sponsored trials.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of products, clinical treatment trends, trials, and scientific activities within head and neck cancer.
Provide scientific support to commercial partners for pre‑, peri‑, and post‑launch activities.
Facilitate advisory board planning and execution.
Represent Genmab professionally at selected medical and scientific conferences and meetings.
Requirements
Advanced degree in a health‑related field (PharmD, PhD, or MD) strongly preferred; candidates with a clinical background (e.g., NP, PA) and extensive oncology MSL experience will be considered.
At least 2 years of MSL/Medical Affairs experience in oncology/solid tumor focus preferred.
Strong knowledge of healthcare and access environments.
Proven ability to work independently and cross‑functionally with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred experience on product launches or demonstrated success as a product or therapeutic point of contact.
Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation skills, integrity, teamwork, and customer focus.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and thrive in a constantly changing environment.
Strong compliance knowledge and adherence to corporate compliance policies.
Working knowledge of FDA, OIG, ICH, GCP, PhRMA Code, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.
Technical acumen including MS Office skills and adaptability to business applications.
Salary
US‑based candidates: $144,720.00 – $217,080.00. Salary offer considers experience, skills, and location; additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses and long‑term incentives.
