Part‑time Days – Health Unit Coordinator.
WORK SCHEDULE
Part‑time (80% FTE)
Days
Wednesdays 7:00 am – 7:30 pm, Fridays 7:00 am – 7:30 pm & Sundays 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Thrive in a busy, fast‑paced environment where multitasking and strong organizational skills are essential
Provide staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including answering phones and triaging call lights
Respond to patient and family inquiries in a timely, courteous, and accurate manner
Assist in maintaining a welcoming and organized unit environment for patients, families, and staff
Work closely with the charge RN to help manage patient flow, prioritize unit needs, and coordinate admits, transfers, and discharges
Prepare and compile discharge packets to support timely and safe patient discharges
Coordinate transportation and appropriate paperwork for patient transfers and diagnostic testing
Handle unit paperwork, including patient chart maintenance, consent forms, and other documentation
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and restock as needed. Utilize computer systems such as Epic, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook for communication, documentation, and coordination
Partner with all members of the care team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
High school graduation or equivalent AND
One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR
An equivalent combination of education/experience
Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$21.39 hourly
Pay Range Maximum:
$28.83 hourly
