Mental Health Counselor

We are a busy, established boutique private‑pay counseling practice for women and girls in Southern Maryland. We are a group of women who have been through some stuff and want to help other women get through theirs. We believe that “your story is our story” and that women need a connection to heal. We are hiring local licensed social workers (LMSW, LCSW‑C) or counselors (LGPC, LCPC) for our Dunkirk office.
Responsibilities
Provide psychotherapy to girls starting at age 8, teen girls and adult women, in person at our Dunkirk location.
Complete all notes and clinical requirements for each session.
Connect with the client above and beyond what is considered typical in this field.
Be able to work autonomously and reliably.
Be conscientious about your notes and clinical work.
Work in a hybrid model when needed; flexible to office availability.
Documentation is minimal; we are a paperless practice.
Must work a minimum of ten hours a week and may see clients 1-2 evenings per week; full‑time is up to 20‑25 sessions per week.
Qualifications
Must have a Maryland clinical license (LMSW, LCSW‑C, LGPC, LCPC).
Must not own your own practice or work for another group practice.
Must live within thirty minutes of our Dunkirk location.
Proficient in Apple products; we use iPads in our offices.
Able to work independently and be on time for each session.
Passionate about women's issues, affirming and accepting of all people.
Interest or experience working with girls, women, and our LGBTQ+ community.
Have a sparkly personality and be interested in building a connection with clients.
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly compensation ranges from $52 to $72. Employee benefits include 401(k) gifts, a CEU stipend, paid time off, and bonus programs.
