Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse (Exclusive to current AL DOC incumbent employees)
Behavioral Health LPNs are needed to provide medical care for individuals incarcerated at Kilby Correctional Facility.

This posting is open exclusively to current AL DOC incumbent employees. NaphCare is hiring Behavioral Health LPNs to join our team of medical professionals in Mt. Meigs, Alabama.
Responsibilities
Perform patient assessments, interview patients about health problems and medication history.
Take vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
Provide wound care, including cleaning and bandaging injured areas.
Administer medication, including injections, and monitor reaction to meds.
Maintain medical records, including entering information into electronic health record (TechCare).
Observe patient health and mental health status.
Provide emergency first aid.
Provide patient education and discharge/release planning.
Qualifications
Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Actively state certified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
Have BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred).
Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issues.
Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and adhere to a Code of Conduct and all facility correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening.
Physical Capabilities
Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
